Client: Microsoft US Marketing
Role: Visual UI/UX Designer and Motion Designer (Designer 2)Credit: Brian Lee (Sr. Demo & In-store Experiences Manager at Microsoft), Mary Lee (RDX Project Manager)
The production process started with the UX Digital team providing layout and XD wireframes to the UI designer.
My task was to provide a creative visual design approach and enhance the existing UX flow by working in tandem with the project manager. I also provided not only the static design options but also responsible for providing motion content or attract loop that could entice the customers to explore more about other options.
The app was also developed to accommodate customized information for different brands' OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) components such as Surface, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, and other brands.
This screen below is showing the grand view of how the app works and flows from one screen to another. As an additional step, we also modified this app so it can be utilized as a marketing tool to introduce other compatible products that could support the PC device as well as other services such as warranty, after-sales service, and maintenance via Geek Squad at BestBuy.
We used simple and engaging design that echoing Microsoft and BestBuy brand-guideline. The goal was to give customer a clarity, minimize error, reduce confusion, and provide on-target information before making any purchase.
